I had been lax in updating my Wordpress and as such was subjected to an attack on the site. I apologize for the mess. I think I have it cleaned up. However, on the off chance that I have missed something please know that I do not support anyone not listed in our link categories. Again, I apologize for the horrid spam. Though, props to the spammers, they were creative in their editing of the posts. Though it does once again reinforce my disdain for spam.
In other news, the site is effectively dead. It remains here for posterity (and will remain so for the foreseeable future) and if given the opportunity (i.e. a camera that I have no hope of ever being able to afford) it will be resurrected.
For those who have contacted me regarding contract filming; I am still actively taking contract filming jobs for slow motion elements. So please, feel free to contact me should you have a need for some special cinematography.

At the present time we are completely and totally stocked with clips that have already been, in some form or another, posted. What this means precisely is that we are out of clips for the posting at the moment. I am in the process of scrambling to find another camera with which to film. Keep your RSS feeds running and hopefully in the next period of undetermined time there will be some more clips This should have been posted Sunday, but I was busy with something not entirely but almost completely unrelated to this site, namely helping my wife prepare for her trip to Korea. Hopefully things will be back up and running in jig time. I’ll post as soon as I have anything and if I happen to find anything interesting out there related to high-speed cameras I’ll happily post it. Now would be an excellent time to reminisce by perusing the hundred or so other clips that have already been posted. There really are a few neat ones there, ones that might even bear watching more than once, most especially if you happen to be new to the site and haven’t seen them yet.

Today’s post will be a bit late in coming. It should be neat when it is done but it is taking me longer than I expected to figure this out. I can’t explain more without giving away the surprise, and surprises are fun right? Check back later today and hopefully I’ll have the shot done.

Yesterday I had to take a few moments and put together a reel to send off to someone. I decided that today I would post it instead of a new clip. This is a bit of a retrospective, if you care to think of it in that manner. It is also quite sizable, so it may take a few moments to download. I will post a smaller version a bit later on, the one I just tried to make ended up being larger than the full resolution version, gotta love video compression. Six minutes of Cannon in D with some nifty footage to go along with it. Enjoy!
Full Resolution 720×486 102mb.
Low Resolution

The Lucid Movement store is now open and operational, there is not much in it as of yet. Click here to visit the store, or click the Store tab at the top. More will be added this coming week.

I would like to announce a new method for purchasing the full resolution versions of the clips shown on Lucid Movement.
Clip Drive
Clip drive is an external USB 2.0 Western Digital 160GB hard drive loaded with clips of your choice.
How it works
Until the process is automated please e-mail clipdrive@lucidmovement.com with the following information:
1) Your name and shipping address.
2) Contact e-mail address.
3) Additional Information. If you prefer a different drive please specify it here. By default we use the Western Digital MyBook 160GB external USB 2.0 HDD. If you need rush service, overnight shipping etc, please specify it here as well.
4) List of clips you would like added to the drive. Please use the title of the post the video is shown in.
What it costs
The cost for the 160gb drive plus shipping is $85. The cost for each clip is $4.00.
If you ordered a drive with 15 clips the total would be $145. The clips vary in size from 500mb to 8GB with an average in the 2GB range. You can fit roughly 80 clips per drive. If a larger drive is needed to add all of the clips you would like we will contact you via e-mail to discuss options.
Lead Time
The lead time on a drive from receipt of order to arrival is roughly five to seven days depending on location. This can be expedited if necessary for an additional fee.

No post today, I just got back in from an all day outing to Valdosta with the family, I’m exhausted. Tomorrow I’ll post some hair bouncy action and I plan on trying to film a bunch of the requests I’ve received. Thanks to everyone who has submitted them!
